welcome Shada!
We are very happy to welcome Shada Safadi, selected resident for the Emergency Residency Programme 2025 for Artists and Cultural Workers in Palestine, which we organise with the TEJA network.
The project with which she will be working these months at La Escocesa, ‘Aves que ya no quieren emigrar’, combines folklore with environmental and ecological issues in a context of colonisation, reflecting on the geopolitical reality of Palestine and the region. Shada's work establishes parallels between his Syrian roots and his connection with Palestine and the West Bank community of which he was a part.
Devastated by the recent news, we take this opportunity to cry out once again: cease fire!
